What's New for 2021?
The all-new 2021 Outback builds on the model's legacy of style, dependability, and safety. The latest Outback models in our Jackson, MS, inventory come standard with adaptive LED headlights, front and rear seat belt warnings, and a rear-seat check reminder.
Performance
The 2021 base Outback, Premium, Limited and Touring trim levels are equipped with a flat-four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine that delivers 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque. The Onyx Edition XT, Limited XT, and Touring XT come with a turbocharged flat-four-cylinder 2.4-liter engine that achieves 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. Both options pair with an automatic continuously variable transmission. The base engine enables the Outback to pull up to 2,700 pounds. The more powerful version provides up to 3,500 pounds of towing ability.Design
The Outback's exterior largely features gentle curves and an aerodynamic profile, with sharp lines accenting the hood, upper body sides and rear. A hexagonal grille matches the lower engine vents. Polished chrome accents the grill, headlights and window surrounds. The angled rear features a rooftop spoiler and high riding brake lights for visual coherence and enhanced style. The interior of the SUV provides 32.5 cubic feet of space behind the back seats. Fold the seats down to get 75.7 cubic feet of storage room.
Technology
The infotainment system in base Outback models includes two stacked 7" touchscreens that enable seamless smartphone integration. The stereo has four speakers, providing immersive sound during any journey in Mississippi. The Premium trim level has an 11.6-inch touchscreen, navigation ability and a six-speaker stereo. The Limited and Touring trim levels add a premium 12-speaker stereo for range-topping audio.
